Handmade Ceramic Tiles
Pinnacle of traditional craftsmanship
Syren Group’s handmade ceramic Palestinian tiles represent the pinnacle of traditional craftsmanship, embodying centuries of artistic heritage and intricate design techniques passed down through generations of skilled artisans. Each tile is a masterpiece of cultural expression, meticulously crafted using time-honored techniques from Palestine, where ceramic art has been refined over millennia. The collection features a breathtaking array of designs – from intricate geometric patterns that echo Islamic architectural motifs to vibrant, hand-painted floral arrangements that capture the rich color palettes of the Middle East.
These tiles are not merely decorative elements but storytelling canvases, with each piece carefully hand-glazed and fired using traditional methods that ensure unique variations in colour, texture, and finish. Whether used as striking wall claddings, elegant floor treatments, or statement pieces in kitchen and bathroom design, Syren Group’s ceramic tiles offer Australian customers an authentic slice of Middle Eastern artistic tradition, transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary expressions of cultural artistry and design sophistication.
Artisans hand-paint these ceramic tiles using an underglaze technique. The tile pattern is first outlined with the black colour and then the rest of the colours are hand painted on the tile. After painting, the tiles are glazed with a lead-free glaze and fired in a kiln at 1000°C. This high temperature fuses the colors and glaze, creating a durable and vibrant finish. The entire firing process takes approximately 24 hours.
